ABOUT DR CHEE JING JYE

As a leading female Obstetrician and Gynaecologist (OB-GYN) in Singapore as well as a mother of three, Dr. Chee Jing Jye understands your special needs and concerns. It is her belief that all women should be entitled to good OB-GYN healthcare.
A graduate from the National University of Singapore in 1996, with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees (MBBS), Dr. Chee obtained her specialist post-graduate degree from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (London) in 2001. She then received her Specialist Accreditation with the Ministry of Health Singapore and the Singapore Medical Council in 2004. As a recognition of her continued contribution to the specialty and maintenance of standards and practice, Dr Chee was conferred Fellowship by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2014. Dr Chee is accredited by the Fetal Medicine Foundation to do Nuchal Translucency Scan for First Trimester Screening for Down Syndrome and is accredited to perform Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound Scans by KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Although Dr Chee subspecialises in Maternal Fetal Medicine with expertise in areas such as First Trimester Screening for Down syndrome and high-risk pregnancies, she provides the full spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological consulting and surgical services for women of all ages, employing proven diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. Dr Chee is also a registered colposcopist with the Society for Colposcopy & Cervical Pathology of Singapore (SCCPS) with special interests precancerous gynaecological conditions of the uterus and cervix.
Prior to joining private practice in 2010, Dr. Chee was the Consultant and Head of the Peripartum Unit, Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. During her time as Head of the Peripartum Unit, Dr. Chee has overseen the medical management of the KK Hospital Delivery Suite, with over 12,000 deliveries annually. Dr Chee had been instrumental in the development of numerous in-house patient education pamphlets, protocols and clinical guidelines for KK Hospital like Vaginal Birth after Caesarean Section, External Cephalic Version Clinic and Group B Streptococcus in Pregnancy. Her other contributions in KK Hospital include chairing the weekly Caesarean Section Audit, Obstetric High-Risk Consultation, supervising the running of the Obstetric High-Risk Clinic and chairing the Perinatal Morbidity and Mortality Round. Other positions Dr Chee held during her time in KK Hospital include Adjunct Assistant Professor to Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, Clinical Lecturer in the Yong Loo Lin (YLL) School of Medicine, National University of Singapore as well as Examiner at the MBBS Obstetrics and Gynaecology Examinations held at YLL School of Medicine.
